Blues Film Festival Slated for Clarksdale 1.01.11

The Clarksdale Film Festival will take place from Thursday to Sunday, January 27 through 30, at Delta Cinema and other select venues in

Roger Stolle of Cat Head Delta Blues & Folk Art Store and a columnist for Blues Revue magazine says, “Join us in the heart of the Mississippi Delta for a long weekend of new, indie and classic films celebrating our region’s music, culture and people.”
Films shown will include Big Shoes: Walking & Talking the Blues, One Night at Red’s, The Best That Never Was, Dedans le Sud de la Louisiane, The Story of Cotton, Hard Times, Full Moon Lightnin’, Blues: Mississippi’s Gift to the World, Barefoot Workshops: Clarksdale Retrospective, The Big Apple Inn, Falsifyn’, The Blues, M for Mississippi: A Road Trip through the Birthplace of the Blues, Raiders Of The Lost Ark: Adaptation, and more.
In addition to film screenings there will be filmmaker Q&As, musical performances, and movie history bus tours of Clarksdale organized by the Clarksdale Downtown Development Association and the Juke Joint
Festival.
