The 23rd Annual East Coast Blues and Roots Music Festival

In 2012, Bluesfest, as it is known Down Under, will celebrate it’s 23rd year of bringing the finest musical lineups to Australia for this stellar festival and it’s major city sideshows. From it’s humble beginnings at the Byron Bay Arts Factory to it’s purpose-built site now at Tyagra, just a few minutes north of Byron Bay, Australia’s most easterly town. This festival, combined with the vision and love of music of promoter Peter Noble, encompasses all that is great about music and the music festival experience as a whole. Artists announced so far are Roger Daltrey; Earth Wind and Fire; The Pogues; John Butler Trio; My Morning Jacket; G3 featuring Joe Satriani, Steve Lukather, and Steve Vai; Yes; Buddy Guy; Maceo Parker; Brian Setzer; Kenny Wayne Shepherd; Jonny Lang; Bettye LaVette; Yann Tiersen; Steve Earle; Justin Townes Earle; Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue; Great Big Sea; The Jayhawks; Crosby, Stills and Nash; The Specials; Lucinda Williams; John Hiatt; Donovan; Angelique Kidjo; Seasick Steve; Keb’ Mo’; Nick Lowe; Rosie Ledet; Seth Lackman; Harry Manx; Alabama 3; and, The Fabulous Thunderbirds.
