We consider Kelly’s dad, Mike, a “Wichita boy” and a lot of us have watched him come up through the music world. Seeing father and son perform together at a smallish venue in Wichita was kind of a bucket list item that I know I hope I get the chance to experience again. But. . . back to the real subject of your interview, The Monophonics. Amazing! I can tell you that Kelly is right when he tells you his age demographics are 12-70. We saw all ages at the gigs here but the one in July probably balanced more on the higher end of the age scale. I haven’t seen that many balding heads and Hawaiian shirts in one place, ever!
