Reverend Billy,
The story of Louie, Louie was entertaining and eye opening and jaw dropping. Joe Ely? Who'd a thunk? As a teenager singing for the Ox Bow Incidents in R.I (lead guitarist Forest McDonald a most righteous blues player in his own right) I sang the lyrics that Senate sub-committees were listening for. I would love to have you print some of the versions that were misconstrued. And now I can't get the song out of my head. Great article and always love your stuff.
